Kidtection has donated a clutch handbag made by Proenza Schouler, for an Auction launched by Kidtection’s Angel investor to raise £50,000 for Samuel, who has cerebral palsy to have an operation to help him walk and run like a normal 7 year old.
Samuel was born with Cerebral Palsy. The muscles in his legs are tight and will continue to get tighter as he grows reducing his mobility. Apart from that he is a happy little boy who loves cars and football. Great Ormond Street Hospital have advised that alternative physiotherapy techniques and an operation called Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy “SDR” would be life changing for Samuel and enable him to live a normal functional and independent life. But this is currently not available to him on the NHS. The cost of the operation and follow up physio is around £50,000.
Alongside the Proenza Schouler handbag donated by Kidtection, (retail value £1,000 with bidding starting at £100) are many other lots donated by generous supporters. If we are lucky to raise anything higher than that that, then any money surplus to what Samuel needs will go to The Caudwell Children’s Charity, who will in turn help other children achieve their dreams.
The auction can be viewed from the 1st April 2016 and is open to all to view and bid so take a look:
